Many of you will already know me from my time working with TRP as both an account manager and an operator. Through that experience, I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with many of you, supporting your member retention and engagement strategies first-hand.

I’m delighted to now step into the role of TRP Business Manager. In this position, my focus is on helping you get even more value from your TRP platform – connecting insight, experience, and commercial outcomes more clearly and effectively.

This year marks an exciting step forward for TRP, and I’m committed to using my experience to support you in achieving your retention and engagement goals. Listening to your feedback and working closely with our product team will be key to continuing to strengthen what TRP can deliver for you.

As always, thank you for being part of the TRP community. If you’d like to explore how to get more from your system, I’d love to hear from you – please feel free to reach out anytime.

webinars TRP

Catch up on demand, then join us live in April

January starts with strong intent, but for many new members, motivation quickly fades within the first few weeks.

In our recent TRP webinar, Dave Ling and behaviour change expert Melvyn Hillsdon explored what really happens in those critical early stages of membership and how you can keep people engaged for longer.

If you couldn’t join us live, you can now watch the recording and discover practical ways to support both new joiners and those at risk of drifting away.

Coming up next:

Join us on the 16th April at 11:00am for an interactive live session exploring the latest AI-powered features in TRP 4.4.

This isn’t just a walkthrough. We’ve designed this session to be open, practical, and collaborative giving you the chance to see the features in action, ask questions throughout, and share your own experiences of using them so far.

We’re also delighted that Horizon Leisure will be joining us to share their experience using the new features and what’s working well for them in practice.

We’ll cover:

  • AI-powered replies and call scripts to speed up follow-ups
  • Smarter tagging to keep your feedback organised at scale

Whether you want to understand how it works, see real examples, or explore how it fits into your day-to-day, this session is your opportunity to get hands-on, exchange ideas, and get answers.

opportunity report

The £1M Opportunity

Why Your Lapsed Members Are Your Hottest Leads

What if your biggest growth opportunity isn’t new members—but the ones you’ve already had?

Our latest TRP research, created in collaboration with Active Insight, reveals a powerful truth: cancellations aren’t the end—they’re a pause. In fact, members who left within the last 6 months are the most likely to return when the right conditions are in place.

Key takeaways from the report:

  • Recent leavers = highest conversion potential – up to 40% show intent to rejoin
  • Confidence drives action – belief in results is just as important as price
  • Affordability still matters – but value and outcomes matter more
  • A huge “persuadable” audience exists – over a third are on the fence
  • Re-engagement = real revenue – even modest win-back rates can unlock £1M+

This isn’t just insight—it’s a clear, data-backed strategy to:

  • Reactivate lapsed members

  • Improve retention

  • Drive sustainable growth

We’re giving you full access to this report, normally worth £495 completely FREE.

Thank You from Active-Net Nottingham

A big thank you to everyone who met with us at Active-Net in Nottingham last week.

Dave Ling was on-site delivering 14 meetings with operators, showcasing TRP and how it’s helping clubs unlock new growth opportunities through smarter member engagement and reactivation strategies.

It was great to have so many valuable conversations.
